Our Ascent™ product line opens a view and a structure

for collaboration and continuous improvement

in education.

TimpTech’s mission is to improve the lives of people by continually improving education with the effective and productive use of technology by skilled and valued people in a community of learners.

We work with Education Technology Labs™, a non-profit research and development corporation, to assure that the continuously improved, supported technology is available to its members. Cooperation brings a better long term solution, with a structure for continuous improvement. Administrative software, classroom software and district prepared curriculum are shared, and continually improved through the same structure.

Company Background

Timpanogos Technologies supports a national base of school districts in the United States. Many of our people were the original developers and managers involved in the creation of K-12 that was licensed to IBM in 1983.

Timpanogos Technologies participates in IBM PartnerWorld® Industry Networks, which offers a rich set of benefits to all IBM PartnerWorld members who want to team with IBM to build their vertical market capabilities, expand their partner network and attract customers in the markets they serve. Timpanogos is “optimized” in the education and learning industry, which means it has developed further specialization by optimizing its applications with IBM technologies, achieving success with its own solutions and other criteria.

We have extensive software experience in the public sector. In the 1990's, Keith S. Blake, the president of Timpanogos Technologies, worked as a partner and co-founder in developing and creating enterprise software for metropolitan city and county local governments, including Kansas City, Atlanta, Phoenix, Minneapolis, San Diego County, and Los Angeles County.

Products and Services

Our software products are ...

”making ‘every child with a laptop’ effective and teacher-directed.”™

Timpanogos Technologies (TimpTech™) provides technology, software and services to assist school districts in educating their K-12 students, including software that enables "Teacher Directed Teaching" in K-12 classrooms, for teachers to support a ‘one-to-one’ student-computer ratio (‘every student with a laptop’), and addressing three key education ‘pain points’ of:

  • 1) Teachers needing to score homework & tests.
  • 2) Student accountability to teachers, and teachers knowing the progress of each student.
  • 3) Tools and structure for teachers to continually improve and share teaching and testing materials, and to align them to district or state standards.

A one-to-one computing ratio has been demonstrated in a joint case study of Personal Teaching® for teachers and SchoolWork® for students at the Olathe School District 233 in Olathe, Kansas published by TimpTech and also on IBM’s website.

TimpTech has created a structure for digital open content and open source materials, making it effective and productive for teachers to strengthen and use their professional skills in continuously creating and improving digital teaching and testing materials that are aligned to their district or state standards.

TimpTech has created a digital structure to assist teachers in scoring and having homework and tests scored, and where students are continually and directly responsible and accountable to the teacher and to themselves.
